Supporting communities with urgent care
Since the first local Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (Medicare UCC) opened in July 2023, there have been 143,369 presentations made across South Eastern NSW.
Together, the region’s seven Medicare UCCs (the latest UCC opened in February 2026) provided bulk-billed urgent care to an average of 265 patients each day, helping reduce pressure on hospital emergency departments and improve access to care closer to home.
This year, 54,423 patients accessed care through Medicare UCCs across South Eastern NSW, including:
29879
presentations at Batemans Bay UCC (since opened December 2023).
5007
